Continuous speed measurements

Laser Speed

A MUSCLELAB product

How it works

The laser can be place behind or in front of the subject. Being wireless, easy to carry and quick to setup makes it very attractive for speed measurements in the field.

By measuring continuous velocity and distance you may gain detailed information about a sprint. The laser is also very suitable for runup test for pole vault or long jump.

Used it for sprinting, runup for jumps, skating etc

HORIZONTAL FORCE, VELOCITY AND POWER

By measuring continuous velocity and distance you may gain detailed information about a sprint. The laser is also very suitable for runup test for pole vault or long jump.

Being wireless, easy to carry and quick to setup makes it a very attractive for speed measurements in the field.

The software allows detailed interactive analysis and data export.

Simple 40m sprint

Every step

Even if though oscillation of the velocity may give an indication of the individual strides, there are uncertainties, for example the exact point of body where that laser beam is hitting.

LaserSpeed is a part of the MUSCLELAB system and therefore integrates and synchronize with other sensors.

Combining LaserSpeed and IMU sensors, or contact grid,  allows precise step detection of every stride for in depth analysis.

Example using 2 IMU sensors with LaserSpeed for detecting each step during sprint.
